Welcome to the Campaign of Reverend Dr. Dwaine A. Jackson
At a time when the Church is called to both remember its roots and respond to the needs of a changing world, I stand as a leader grounded in faith, shaped by service, and committed to action. I hope my life’s work reflects a simple but powerful belief: the Church must not only proclaim hope—it must actively live it out in the communities it serves. From my early calling at Bethel AME Church in Los Angeles to my current assignment at Bryant Temple AME Church, I’ve remained focused on restoring the spiritual and social foundations that define the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
My ministry has always lived at the intersection of faith and real life. For more than two decades, I have led efforts that extend beyond the pulpit—creating programs that provide housing, mentorship, mental health support, and opportunity for youth and families. Through initiatives like the Bryant Temple Community Development Corporation, we have helped transform lives, serving hundreds through housing programs, violence prevention partnerships, and youth intervention services. My work should reflect a deep understanding that strong churches build strong communities—and that visibility, compassion, and consistency are essential to both.
As a candidate for Bishop in the 2028 General Election, my vision centers on Restoring Foundations, Rebuilding Communities, and Bridging Generations. I’m committed to strengthening worship, deepening discipleship, and expanding the Church’s role in civic engagement and social service. I believe the future of the AME Church depends on reconnecting with young people, empowering families, and ensuring that every congregation becomes a beacon of hope, help, and healing in its community.
Above all, I lead with humility and conviction. My journey—from mentoring youth to leading multi-million-dollar community initiatives—has been driven not by titles, but by a genuine love for God and God’s people. I would say, my greatest accomplishment is simple: I fell in love with Jesus—and have spent most of my life living like it matters. This campaign is not just about leadership; it is about service, stewardship, and answering the call to build a stronger, more impactful AME Church for generations to come.
